We are developing the port, near the location where oil and gas have been found. But not just any port. Suriname is a green country, CO2-negative and covered with rainforests for 93%. And Suriname wants to stay green, especially in a future that includes raising sea-levels, unpredictable weather and the salinization of fresh water. This is why we are focused on for sustainable development, in which people, the economy and the planet all benefit.
